WELCOME

Are you ready to learn:

  • Ways to live your life more focused, less stressed and less anxious?

  • How to be more present with yourself and the world around you, including the most important relationships in your life?

  • What your deepest values are and how to truly live according to them?

  • How to let go of what doesn’t serve you to create space for what does?

This course is totally for you!

The content of this course is based on my personal transformational journey, and a system I've guided my private coaching clients through with 200+ hours of one-on-one coaching. It's a system that's proven over and over again, and the most beautiful part about their transformation is that it's very much about creating small shifts rather making drastic changes to their circumstances. Small hinges swing big doors. You don't have to let go of everything and hike the Appalachian Trail like I did, that's just my own unique journey.

That's why I often say, it's not so much about changing your life, it's about realizing what's within, and then your life will change.

Why this Course?

Let's start with a short story, because really, who doesn't like a good story.

Once there was a village at the banks of a big, strong river. One day a villager saw a person crying for help as they were being carried by the strong forces of the rivers current. The villager, who was a strong swimmer, jumped in and pulled the drowning person ashore. Briefly afterward, another person was carried downstream, and then another, and another. The villager called his friends for help and they all came to offer assistance. They got really busy and exhausted helping more and more people in high distress in the river, and then fighting for their lives to save others in the currents day after day. So the villagers invented a net that was cast across the river so it would catch people. They built shelters and clinics for the people whose lives they have saved…

What is it that the villagers are missing?

They miss finding out why people are falling into the river upstream in the first place.

So how does that relate to what we’re doing here?

We've tried to fix our downstream long enough. Now we are willing to start the journey to find out what’s happening upstream of our own lives.

Because we live in a world full of distractions. We're constantly surrounded by chaos and noise. As a result, we often find ourselves feeling unhappy, stressed, anxious, and simply stuck in our lives. Stuck in a job we don’t like. Stuck in our relationships. Or generally stuck on autopilot, trying to find more meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.

Maybe you've tried a bunch of things, but nothing seems to work to make long-lasting, sustainable change. Unfortunately when this happens, we tend to default to our set habits and fixed beliefs, even when we know those habits make us feel lousy.

When we feel stuck the one thing that seems to be lacking the most in our lives is self-care. In my line of work, I see it all the time, we simply don’t love ourselves enough.

We avoid taking care of ourselves because we either believe we don’t have the time, or we carry the common misconception that self-care is a selfish act. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. If you feel stuck, if you want your life to change for the better in even the slightest of ways, you need to prioritize yourself. There’s a reason why you’re asked to put the oxygen mask on yourself before anyone else if the plane is going down.

The first step to taking care of yourself is knowing yourself, and the first step to knowing yourself is slowing down, paying attention, and turning your awareness inwards.

I like to think of this process of slowing down as an opportunity to get out of your head and into your heart. And that's where my system comes in, so we can get to a place of letting go of the old, to make way for the new.

It's like my good friend and author Timber Hawkeye says, "Isn't it refreshing to know that just because we've always been a certain way, it doesn't mean we have to stay that way forever?"

This is your life to live, and while you can’t change the past, you have this beautiful ability to choose how you spend the rest of your days, now. Enjoy the journey.

Take the step.

Words from beautiful people just like you who got unstuck

- Tricia

"I was stuck and lost."

- Tricia

“Sometimes people come into your life at the exact moment that you need them. After seeing me struggle a dear friend signed me up for a seminar with Ryan. I begrudgingly went. After a year of heartache and loss I felt my life spiraling out of control. I was stuck and lost. The seminar gave me hope. After hearing Ryan’s story I thought that maybe it was possible to find happiness and gain control of my life again. I decided to invest in myself and begin coaching with Ryan. With Ryan’s guidance I have learned to be more mindful and formed new habits that have been life changing. I feel calm, relaxed, happy and confident. I now have the tools to take care of my mind, body and soul. I FEEL GREAT! Thank you Ryan.”

"Done with it all"

- Ann Marie

“When we forge our own path we awaken our soul. I was locked in a world of brokenness, hopelessness feeling stuck and done with it all with no way out. Life coaching with Ryan began my souls opening to a new journey. The journey to me. I am living my values, embracing a new mindset, letting go of limiting beliefs that dragged me into the depths of despair. The blossoming of my inner world has altered my perception of my outer world. For what we see with our minds eyes is a fallacy. To truly live we must live with our hearts.”

Ryan Benz

Hi, I'm Ryan. Mindfulness educator, life coach, yoga teacher, inspirational speaker, and Appalachian Trail Thru-hiker. I’m super stoked to meet you! Please allow me to introduce myself. When I reached my early 30’s I had everything I was told I was supposed to want in life; a wife, a home, a college degree, and what many would consider to be a “successful” career. I was chasing the conventional definition of “success,” and as a result, lost sight of everything that was really important. I became disillusioned, wondering how I could have accomplished so much yet feel so empty inside. Rather than feeling the happiness and fulfillment that I thought I would gain from it all, I felt overwhelmingly stressed, anxious, depressed, and suffered from frequent panic attacks. On the surface I had achieved so much, but deep down my life lacked meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. I felt completely stuck. A divorce left me alone for the first time in my life, so I turned to meditation and mindfulness to try to cope with the change, and it totally changed my world. I was finally ready to start living the life I wanted, rather than the life others expected of me. I let go of everything I knew, including my career of 10 years and the “success” I spent so much time building, and hiked the entire Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, all 2,189.8 miles of it. I often refer to the day when I completed the hike as the first day of the rest of my life. The moment when I was screaming from the top of that mountain, I had never felt more alive. My story is one about going against social norms, letting go, and taking risks in authentic ways. A story about discovering my truth and pursuing it relentlessly, creating a unique path to ultimate freedom and happiness. Now, my life’s work is to help you find your path, too.
